SHAILABALA WOMEN’S COLLEGE OLD STUDENTS ASSOCIATION

The old students association was established and registered in the session 1991-92. It really became active in the year 2013 on the occasion of the Centenary Celebration .  During the  Platinum Jublee Celebration of the college the old Girls Association was activated but once the celebration were over it went back to sleep again until some zealous people dug it out of the past and had the association registered.

The constitution of the Association drafted by the predecessor require streamling and revision. A few rules have been reconsidered but not all e.g. Life Membership has been raised to Rs.2000/- and annual membership to Rs.200/-, Patron are invited with a subscription of Rs. 5000/-. They will have the privileges of a member.

All former students of Shailabala Women’s College, former and present teachers including those who were connected with their joint Ravenshaw  Girl’s School and College from 1915-1945 are eligible for membership.
The objective of the association is to promote friendly relations among former students current students and teachers and get them involved in the welfare of their alma mater, in the development of education and cultural awareness.

With the college celebrating its 100th year one can imagine how the lakhs and lakhs of Alumnae spread throughout the World feel proud of its alma mater. The association invite them to join us so that the association survives and continues to serve society at large and its own alumnae mater in particular.
